Naughty knitty kitty

So, I have a routine where I will knit before bed in my bed.  Dharma will lay near me, very happy to be close by and also completely mesmerized by the yarn and knitting utensils that she wishes I would take my attention off of long enough for her to grab them.  She's pretty well behaved.  Well, aside from the occasional paw on the yarn and me looking at her, her meowing to me, then moving her paw back.  Last night, as I was working on a new cowl for myself (the second thing I'm knitting for myself EVAR), I caught her getting mischievous and took this pic:

New Knitting Needle Bag

I got tired of ripped ziplock bags and finally spent a few bucks on a sewn holder.  I love it!  It holds long and short straight needles, circulars, dpns, and has a zipper pouch on the left side for stitch markers and stuff.

Beanie for Mike

After the holidays, I needed to take a break from beanies :)  But now I'm back, knitting a funky new beanie I'm making up as I go along for Mike, who was so kind to watch our girls while we were in AZ.

Cupcake Mittens for Crisser

These are to match the cowl I made for Cristina, and they are my first try at knitting lace patterns - Yarn Overs, here I come!!

Cable Scarf for Erik

This is my second attempt at cabling - and I must admit, it's working out a bit better because I figured out how to prevent the sides of the scarf from curling inward.  Cristina picked out this pattern and yarn for her man, I'm just doing the labor :)

Funky Socks for Beth

These socks are my first attempt at socks and I'm knitting using the Magic Loop  - Two At A Time - method.  Fun!!!

My First Sweater

This is my first sweater.  The pattern is from a 1965 Bernat pattern book and the yarn is from Solitude Wool, where I now help out on Sundays at the Dupont Farmers Market.  It's un-dyed Romney wool and it is super soft and lightweight.  The buttons are from a British seller on Etsy.

Cowl for Crisser

This cowl was in the book I got from Jason's family for Christmas.  It's called the "Infinity Scarf" but I made it smaller and it worked out beautifully.  I'm working now on some matching fingerless mittens to match!  Hopefully when I go to Austin, TX to visit next week, I'll get a better pic :-) that doesn't look like I was drunk when I took it.
